This line from a song I learnt as a child sums up in many respects my approach to editing and filmmaking. I work across a diverse array of genres but every project has its own rhythm, and my job is to find and communicate it. I am excited about the future of the South African film and TV industry and am a member of the South African Guild of Editors. I am currently running a web show called 'Politically Aweh'. Politically Aweh
'Politically Aweh' is South Africa's answer to 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' and aims to bring South African news and politics reporting into an easily digestible and engaging 'infotainment' format. I developed this original concept for web distribution and piloted the first episode online in July 2017. See more on our Facebook page.

The Voice Afrique
I worked as offline editor in the post production team of the first ever season of The Voice Afrique, which is a French-language adaptation of the popular format for 17 francophone countries.

Xperia Mashlab
I headed up post production for the Loerie Award-winning Xperia Mashlab concept run by digital agency Thread, based at Moonlighting Commercials. This 10 month web, TV & radio show saw some of the biggest music collaborations in the history of South African music.
Daily Maverick Gathering 2016 Satire Promo
The Daily Maverick holds an annual political conference called 'The Gathering'. I created this satirical mashup of US and SA politics to generate hype around the event. The video was viewed +140,000 times on Facebook.

I was engaged by literacy and multilingualism NPO PRAESA to do a short PSA for International Mother Tongue Day. I completed shoot, edit and sound.

From car guard to superstar! I edited this profile on Congolese-born artist, Trésor Riziki, who through sheer perseverance made his way from a desperate situation in war-torn DRC to global superstar whose music now charts both locally and in Europe.

Coza TV
Coza TV was a youth-focused web show which covered music and events in 2010. We featured some of South Africa's biggest acts including Goldfish, Lira, Freshlyground and more. I founded the channel, produced, directed and edited content, and maintained our online presence, supported by a great team at Siyabonga Media. View the channel here
You See TV
This was a project I set up in 2012 at the University of Cape Town in collaboration with the UCT Film Society. I produced and directed a series of episodes about campus life, including concerts at the Baxter theatre, interviews with notable alumni, sporting activities and more. The show was shot against a blue screen with inserts and was hosted by the dynamic pair of Sanda Shandu and Phathiswa Magangane. View the channel here.

This was the result of a filmmaking mentorship programme I did with the talented lead actor and director of this film. I produced, shot and assisted with technical challenges both on set and in post. The film was selected for the Shnit International Short Film Festival's local offering in 2016.
