This line from a song I learnt as a child sums up in many respects my approach to editing and filmmaking. I work across a diverse array of genres but every project has its own rhythm, and my job is to find and communicate it. I am excited about the future of the South African film and TV industry and am a member of the South African Guild of Editors. I am currently running a web show called 'Politically Aweh'. 'Politically Aweh' is South Africa's answer to 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' and aims to bring South African news and politics reporting into an easily digestible and engaging 'infotainment' format. I developed this original concept for web distribution and piloted the first episode online in July 2017. See more on our Facebook page.

The Daily Maverick holds an annual political conference called 'The Gathering'. I created this satirical mashup of US and SA politics to generate hype around the event. The video was viewed +140,000 times on Facebook.

This was a project I set up in 2012 at the University of Cape Town in collaboration with the UCT Film Society. I produced and directed a series of episodes about campus life, including concerts at the Baxter theatre, interviews with notable alumni, sporting activities and more. The show was shot against a blue screen with inserts and was hosted by the dynamic pair of Sanda Shandu and Phathiswa Magangane. View the channel here.
